How long does it take to receive my money? We will post your money to you on the same day we have receipt of your package, excluding weekends and public holidays. How will I be paid? You will be paid by cheque. cash or bank transfer. (Please note that there is charge for bank transfer under £1000) How do I work out the value? Simply weigh the items and use the online calculators. What happens if the market value of my gold changes after I've sent in my items?Our prices are based on the London Gold Fix price for gold which is set at 10:30am and 3pm daily. Our valuation for your gold will be based on the London Gold Fix price applicable when we receive your items. We will then email or telephone you with an offer for your gold and that offer will be valid for 24 hours from the time that the email is sent by us, or from the time that we contact you by telephone. If you decide NOT to accept our offer for your gold, your items will be returned to you by special delivery. Please note that we reserve the right to charge for postage and packaging when returning items to you. What if I don't have any scales? We will weigh the items for you. If my gold weight does not agree with yours, what happens?We have specialists gold scales and if there are discrepancies on weight we notify you immediately. How do I send them to you? Pack your gold, silver, platinum or unwanted jewellery in to a Jiffy bag or padded envelope, or you can use a Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope obtainable from the post office. Complete this Form sign & Print Take it to the post office and send it to us by Special Delivery. We will remove the stones and weigh the items without the stones. What types of scrap do you buy? All types of gold, silver and platinum. Do you buy gold plated, rolled gold & costume jewellery? Sorry no. What if the money received is different from my online calculation? The money supplied may differ to your calculation, as we remove stones and non precious metals, such as springs, fillings and base metal clasps. We use precision electronic scales to calculate the exact weight. Can I visit without an appointmentYes If you need your money more urgently or would prefer to deal in person, we would welcome you to our bullion counter in the heart of the jewellery quarter in Birmingham with free secure parking.If your scrap gold is worth in excess of £5000, we would recommend that you call first to make an appointment to ensure that we have cash available on the day. Posting Scrap Gold: How safe is Royal Mail Special Delivery?We understand that sending items of value in the post can be quite scary. When you post your valuables to us, send them by Royal Mail Special Delivery service and you can be certain that they will get to us safely. See below for a table of Special Delivery Prices. In the unlikely event that your scrap gold was 'lost' in the post, then no need to fear as it can be fully Insured up to £2500. If you are sending gold to us above this value, then it may be worth sending 2 parcels to us at the same time to cover the insurance. Please remember to wrap up your scrap gold well so that any items are not rattling about in the jiffy bag. We don't recommend that you send your parcels by Recorded or 1st Class delivery. ONLY SEND SCRAP GOLD BY SPECIAL DELIVERY unless you are happy to take the risk.
